HELLER MEDIZINTECHNIK GmbH & Co. KG celebrates a major company anniversary. The renowned company has been providing medical solutions in the field of electrical nerve and muscle stimulation for over 25 years and is one of the leading suppliers and manufacturers of internationally produced electrical stimulation devices.

Joachim Heller, initially a photo specialist in sales and product management at Leitz Wetzlar, developed his passion for electromedicine back in 1985, when he moved to the scientific sales field service of the Leitz branch in Stuttgart in the fields of medical technology and medical diagnostics.

The current Managing Director of HELLER MEDIZINTECHNIK GmbH & Co. KG subsequently held further management positions in sales, including at world market leaders such as Olympus Hamburg, Bayer Diagnostics GmbH Munich and Oral-B Frankfurt. Thanks to his more than twenty years of specialist and management expertise, he finally took the step into self-employment with the founding of HELLER MEDIZINTECHNIK GmbH & Co KG.

From the very beginning, the innovative company with its headquarters in Braunfels has focused on customer-oriented service for doctors and patients with technically high-quality and user-friendly devices for electrostimulation. The portfolio of HELLER MEDIZINTECHNIK GmbH & Co KG includes devices for pain treatment and muscle building, incontinence therapy and biofeedback. Another focus is on electromedical support for foot drop, which occurs, for example, in connection with strokes, multiple sclerosis, slipped discs and other neurological diagnoses. The result is damage to the fibular nerve, meaning that the foot can no longer be lifted properly or rolled naturally when walking. Every step requires the utmost attention, as there is always a high risk of tripping or falling.

With the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the product range was also expanded to include coronavirus protective equipment, from rapid tests for laypersons to colorful FFP2 masks. In addition, the specialist in electromedicine has been operating test centers with over 120 part-time and highly qualified employees in the Lahn-Dill district since the start of mandatory COVID-19 testing in March 2021. The test centers in Braunfels, Schöffengrund-Schwalbach and Lahnau-Dorlar give citizens the opportunity to be tested for the coronavirus.

Today, Joachim Heller can look back on over 35 years of experience in medical technology and 25 years of company history. “With a dedicated team and innovative products, we succeed every day in using our expertise and experience to help patients achieve greater mobility and thus a better quality of life. This fills me with pride and gratitude,” summarizes Heller, who was appointed to the Senate of Economy Europe and the Senate of Economy Germany in 2020. The Senate is made up of influential figures from business, science and society who demonstrate a particular sense of responsibility towards the state and society and together contribute to the practical implementation of the common good-oriented goals of sustainability in the spirit of the eco-social market economy. “It is particularly important to us to always be flexible and capable of acting and to continue to develop the company with new ideas and in line with current requirements,” Joachim Heller concludes.
